I'm sorry that you have so little pride in your country, and so little understanding of what Canada would hold for you.

I'm sorry that you pulled the race card.

I'm sorry that you don't recognize that regardless of the outcome, America would have been making history. Or did you forget that SP was a woman? Oh, you may not like her, but she is a woman. And may I remind you, black men voted before white women.

I'm sorry that you waste time writing things like this, but have to be prompted to thank people for thoughtfully handmade beautiful gifts. I'm sorry that when prompted, your response is a pithy "it's cute."

I'm sorry you're so blinded to how horribly the last President destroyed this country and others. I'm sorry that you don't see how similar McCain's policies would be to his, and how we'd continue going in circles.

I'm sorry you were blinded by the fact that while Sarah Palin has a vagina, she's also an idiot. With no experience. Who didn't know that Africa was a continent. Low blow? Perhaps. Don't blame me, Fox News said it. Who allows animals in her state to be slaughtered from airplanes; who didn't instantly oppose charging women for rape testing. I know plenty of wonderful people, republican, who were going to vote for John McCain until he picked Palin. Many of them were women.

(Hillary Clinton is a woman, too. By the way.)

I'm sorry that you don't think race has anything to do with it. I would have voted for Obama if he were black, white, female, or purple - but the fact remains that this country just achieved a great moment in civil liberties and in progressive politics, and it's pretty awful that you can't feel proud for breaking barriers.

I'd "waste my time" writing about gay marriage and abortion and the separation of church and state, but I think I'd get kind of mean.

But I would like to thank you for being so mature and defriending me on facebook and spamming my personal journal. It's nice to know people with differences can still be friends.

P.S: Don't intervene on behalf of your sister and DON'T bring her into drama you've created because you disagree with my politics. If she's got a problem with me, I've got a cell phone, instant messenger, a facebook and three emails. I think she can handle it.
