Windows users! Qvestion!

I'm trying to buy a web-cam for my roomie. I don't actually know precisely what kind of computer she has; I think it's a Dell laptop with Vista? Or XP. I'm not sure how that works. But she has friends in random places (LIKE ME) and therefore needs to be able to Skype (WITH ME). But knowing her she'll keep forgetting unless someone drops it in her lap. So!

I'm trying to find something in the under $30 range. Does anyone have any good recommendations, of something they know works with Skype? I'm sure this isn't nearly as complicated as I'm making it, but. Just want to check!

Any webcam will do. They're usually not specifically made for Windows or Macs, but can be used for either because they come with a CD with the software on it. When you buy it, just ask the person selling it if there have been problems with connecting it to a laptop running Vista because Vista is a piece of crap lol. XP is SO much better so if she has that you can buy anything.

Awesome, thank you!!

Ugh, I hear you. I've had to use a friend's comp before that ran Vista and I'm pretty sure I was wearing a WTF/GetMeOutOfHere expression the entire time. *clings to her macbook*

It works pretty well, yes?

Thank you! I'll look into that. (This would be so much easier if I'd paid attention to her operating system, fail.)
