Um. So. I don't get what the big deal is. I liked it. A lot. Granted, there were things that could have been done better, but overall, I can't say I was disappointed. At all.

- Con: They really, really rushed the Cuddy/baby plotline. That should have been spread out over a couple episodes, I think, in order to make us really feel what Cuddy was going through. I think it's something that a lot of women go through, and it deserved far more attention than this episode gave it.

- Pro: That said, I think Lisa did a beautiful job. Especially the scene with her on the phone. I was holding my breath, terrified she was going to shake the baby or do something totally irrational. Not to the same extent, obviously, but I know that feeling, when you try and you try and a baby won't stop crying. It's horrible and frustrating and scary and I think Lisa pulled it off beautifully.

- Con: I felt the Wilson/Cuddy story-line was a little disconnected. She was so open and honest with him and it just seemed so sudden. Cuddy strikes me as someone who's "always fine" - always telling people she's fine, always putting up a front. But she was so open with Wilson it was kind of...bizarre. And it seemed a little OOC, except when you consider,

- Pro: CUDDY/WILSON BACKSTORY!! Ooh, this will make for some excellent ficage. Plus, Wilson's been helping her since Joy, with the adoption, I imagine he was there for the fallout; he's been such a good friend through all of this, the Duckie, everything. And I just heart him. I didn't like Wilson much at the beginning of this season, but now. ♥

- The fake picture frame thing was kind of adorable. In a really sad way.

- Really liked Cameron in this ep. She tried her best to outwit House, she played a good game, but she wasn't naive enough to believe she'd be the best one for the job. And while I'm FURIOUS that Cuddy has to go back to work after finally bonding with Rachel, I think Cam made the right call, and looked good while doing it. (On the con side: IT WAS ONLY ONE DAY, WTH? Either that, or Cameron didn't change her clothes?? I'm a little miffed she's giving up after ONE. DAY. LAME.)

- Foreman/Chase having two diff convos. LOL.

- Oh, one more con: Dear Cuddy, please to not be wearing boots on the outside of your pants, kthnx? Jeans are better.

- What did I tell you? RACHEL > HOUSE. Baby puke for the win! Hee. And Cuddy's smile. AND A REAL BABY!

- There were also some great one liners in this ep.

- The end made me cry.

- DAMN YOU DS.

- CUDDY+RACHEL= OTP

THE END.

Really? It seemed Cuddy-esque to me, but I've always thought of her as being fashion-forward, so. *shrugs*

What, you mean they didn't like how they were portrayed as strong women who still have real emotions and real problems?! Golly. They have been slacking this season, and it hasn't felt very House-ish to me. I do appreciate all the glorious Cuddy time we've gotten, though. I dunno, the season just seems rather "meh" to me. *shrugs*

It seemed more Edelstein-y than Cuddy-y to me, hee. But, agreed. Cuddy is very fashion-forward (and AWESOME).

I guess I'm just hopelessly biased. The more Cuddy time, the better imo, regardless of how stupid the medical plotlines are, since I don't watch it for the medicine, really. I do wish we were getting more House/Wilson bromance times, and I wish Lucas would come back! I think they're just focusing SO much on the characters this season, that medicine has been taking a backseat, which, isn't necessarily a good thing, but. Agreed. It's a very different "tone" than S1.

I guess I can't differentiate? *shrugs*

Someone on my flist said that the show was veering toward primetime soap opera, and I think I agree, for the most part. It feels like, for one thing, they're needlessly creating a lot of drama (like with hostage-taker dude who then experimented on 13, and now with Foreman being an idiot and 13 near death next episode), and kind of cheapening the effect of the more interesting drama (like Cuddy getting a baby, though that last episode could have been spread out over a few more episodes for a much better effect, imo). I dunno, sometimes I feel like I'm not even watching House anymore, and the characters just happen to be sharing the same names.

I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad thing that it's becoming a bit primetime-soapy, but it's just not my thing.
